Phil Hurley

Where It All Began

Phil Hurley has been playing in bands since he was eight years old.  He moved from his hometown of Potsdam, NY to Boston, MA in 1987 with his band Gigolo Aunts.  Gigolo Aunts had a major label deal with RCA and toured extensively in the US and Europe with groups such as the Counting Crows, Cranberries, Wallflowers, and The Lemonheads. They recorded music for films including:

That Thing You Do, The River Wild, Swimming With Sharks, The Buddy System, In the Army Now, and the title track to Dumb and Dumber, "Where I Find My Heaven."

Phil Hurley then went on to tour with Tracy Bonham for her platinum record "The Burdens of Being Upright."

After relocating to Seattle, WA, he continued to make music with groups like The Tycoons (Chris Ballew, PUSA), Shuggie, and The Hula Bees. He was one of the first employees at the much-celebrated shop, Emerald City Guitars. Phil Hurley was hand-selected to open the Sky Church at the Experience Music Project.

After a brief stint in Amsterdam, Phil Hurley was once again making music--this time in Los Angeles. He performed in the original cast of the hit show Rock of Ages.  He worked in sales, and as a guitar specialist at Westwood Music, and as a guitar specialist for James Trussart, developing some of his first demo videos.  He wrote the theme songs for HBOs Lucky Louie, The Greg Behrendt Show, and Weeds.

He created the celebrated country-rock group StoneHoney with fellow LA singer-songwriters Shawn Davis, Nick Randolph, and Dave Phenecie in 2006.  StoneHoney toured extensively across the US, and found their musical home when they relocated to Austin, TX in 2009, signing to Jimmy LaFave's Music Road Records.

In Austin, Phil Hurley continued his success playing guitar with Jimmy LaFave, and recording with artists such as Hal Ketchum and Wendi Waldman.

He is a founding member of South Austin Moonlighters.  The South Austin Moonlighters have released four albums, garnering regional radio and touring success.

Phil Hurley released his solo album Nowhere Left To Run, produced by Chris Gage in 2019. His second solo album is currently under production.

Brianna Adams

She’s not exactly a rebel, but with her musical mashup of Waylon, Skynyrd, and Janis Joplin, you could be forgiven for thinking she is. In reality, Texas singer/songwriter Briana Adams is a sweet-natured Southern crooner that really just wants to share her music with the world.
Her songs are a honky tonk acid trip of classic dancehall and 70’s outlaw country rolled into a tight-knit package, all headlined by a big Texas voice and an unmistakable style that’s all her own. And if you catch a little twist of blues and rock’n’ roll in the vocal, that’s not by accident. Growing up in a small Texas town like Winchester, that’s the way country music is done!
For the last 12 years, Briana has been touring all over Texas. She has opened for some Texas Country/Red Dirt greats along the way too! Including, The Bellamy Brothers, Randy Rogers Band, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, & Charlie Robison. Just to name a few.
With the upcoming release of her new EP “One More Highway,” 2021 figures to be a big year for her. Says Briana, “I believe this new record is exactly what I needed to jump back into things! Each song is so stylistically different, and I think it will give the audience a glimpse of what I’m capable of!
I’m really just excited to be getting back out there and having something to promote, honestly! It makes me feel like I have purpose again. 2020 was rough for everyone, and I’m very thrilled to be getting “back in the saddle”, as they say. Radio tours, playing new tunes, playing new venues… You know, all the things that come with being a touring musician!
Her superlative voice, vintage style, and quiet confidence even in the face of doubt will take her a long way. Stay tuned for a lot more from this rising Texas artist, Briana Adams.

Craig Marshall

Craig Marshall's lengthy musical resume stretches back to his teen years performing with various combos in his hometown of Syracuse, New York.  He moved to Austin in the early 1990s with his then-band, the country-leaning Delta Rays, but soon found himself founding and leading the locally popular Sinatra-style jazz-swing outfit The Lucky Strikes.

Over the past two decades, the Austin, TX-based singer-songwriter-guitarist has quietly built a remarkably accomplished body of work, drawing upon his wide-ranging musical background to craft engagingly melodic, personally-charged music that's as emotionally resonant as it is catchy.

Chubby Knuckle Choir

This three-piece band offers three solo artists and songwriters. Their style ranges from Rock, Blues, R&B,

Country, Americana or in other words Acid Funk-Soulgrass.

The Chubby Knuckle Choir officially formed in 2009 in Bastrop, Texas with founding members Curtis

Farley, Perry Lowe, Rory Smith, and Tres Womack. The band currently consists of Perry Lowe, Rory

Smith AKA “Storytime” and Cody Justin King.

The name Chubby Knuckle Choir came from former bass man, and original member Curtis Farley in a

comedic moment, while working in Twisted Twig Studio with Perry Lowe and Rory Smith.

With thoughtfully crafted tunes and lyrics that catch you off guard with their clarity and brutal honesty,

the band delivers quality entertainment without any pretense and takes things back to the days of

accessible, self-deprecating live shows.

Our sound is a marriage of all genres,” explains Lowe, who sings, plays guitar, drums, and keys, while

Smith describes it as “folk music from a country that isn’t around … but should be.”

While other musicians stay beholden to genre and specific song arrangements, The Chubby Knuckle

Choir’s music changes with every performance. It’s this spontaneity and constant willingness to

experiment musically that makes them one of the most unique and compelling bands in Texas today.

With a fresh approach but continuing the formula of unique instrumentation, all are singer-songwriters

and multi-instrumentalists who come from varying musical and geographical backgrounds, which is

embraced by the band to encourage diversity of thought in their music.
